Scammers/cheaters/hackers play games not so much to win, but rather to see you lose.

Idk, but it is really sad. And I run Droks, I've gotten quite some scammers, but not too many lately. Although, I've been 1 step (litteraly) from Rankor and they zone back into Dreadnoughts Drift. Wich really makes me mad, because It takes probably 10 minutes to get there, and I have to do it all over again. So I just leave, and I spam that I wouldn't go with them (because he/she was the only one left alive), to beware the runners.

Not to be a jerk, but how long have you been a member of the human race?

People steal, scam, everything, be it in games or real life. People are degenerates. There's not much more to it. In a computer game it is anonymous, so there is even more detachment and less guilt, so even people who wouldn't do it in real life are tempted.

Some poeple live to help others generally, some poeple live to make others look bad. Live with it, place yourself inside one of the two groups and stick by it.

It is a slow process of the breakdown of the moral fabric of society that can be traced to the rise of liberalism in the 1960's. Couple that with the anonyimty of the internet and the teenagers of today think nothing of ripping you off.

People want money, and they want it easily. Simple. One of the ways to do that is prey on stupidity/ignorance/trust of others.

Only one thing to remember from this story: you made a "random act of kindness" (there used to be a section one this in the Scribe) and ty for that.

Let the poor guy continue his life with his 5k, whatever feeling that gives him. You're the one who should feel good for doing what you did, not feel bad for what he did.

+1 Comment anyone? But seriously, anyone who scams has psychological issues, emotional issues, or are born and raised to it. I'm not trying to fit anybody into a sterotype, but it's just a fact. My father has a saying "Poor People have Poor Ways"

Sadly, that is why most people do it. Very rarely do they really care so much about the money, and are completely unwilling to do it in any other way.

Oh, and +1 before close.

^This. If they can get away with it, they can. This has always been the shady side of running people. It's a trust/honor code issue. Plus, if the person truly only had 10k, then 5k would considerably cut his gold in half. 5k might seem little to you, but a lot to others.
